Whispers of the Reaper

In the cold and dark corners of the world of Whispers of the Reaper, inspired by the book Pestilence — the Disciple of Death, silence reigns, broken only by a faint echo. This illustration, created with the help of modern DigitalArt technologies, takes us to a Flat World where Death, a figure both frightening and full of compassion, acquires the spirits of abandoned kittens. Every detail of the Illustration is imbued with dark poetry: the bony hand of Death clutches a scythe, and her gaze, shining with blue light, is directed at the barrel where innocent souls found their end.

The CharacterDesign process allowed us to embody the image of Death — not just a reaper, but also a witness to human tragedies, whose figure became the symbol of Terry Pratchett's book. The work on ConceptArt was inspired by the scene where Death discovers the spirits of kittens drowned in water by humans, and at this moment her strange connection with these ghosts is born. In ArtProcess, I tried to convey not only the external gloom, but also the hidden depth of feelings that Death feels for these little souls.

The world of #DarkFantasy, created by Pratchett, comes to life in this scene, where Death is part of the unique universe of #Discworld. Ghostly kittens, whose greenish silhouettes hover over the barrel, are GhostKittens, a symbol of loss and hope. Their presence next to Death adds a touching note to the story. The WhispersOfTheReaper project is not just an image, but a reflection of the theme of compassion and the cycle of life in a world where even Death can notice abandoned and forgotten pain.
